Dark Calling-Book Report 2 Part 1

The main character's name is Kernal, (which is his nickname, his real name is Cornelios.) Kernal is like me, because when something happens, he thinks about the outcomes of what will happen, goes with it, and sees where it takes him. He takes time to think the plan over very carefully and tries to see the positives and negatives. Kernal's personality is like mine, because he is very sarcastic. He basicly doesn't care much about anything that doesn't matter to him, and he wouldn't do it unless he was forced to.

Kernal has to make a lot of important decisions in the book (most of them decide the fate of the world, and all the other worlds.) I'm not like him, because my decisions aren't that important, the most important decision I have to make, is whether to do my homework now or tommorrow. Because time passes at different rates in other universes, he's about 60 years old, (though he looks 17) and I'm 14 years old. Kernal is not like me because he is black, and I'm asian (no offense to anyone.) He had to leave his family because it turns out he had demonic powers, and the closest thing I have to a power is that I can run fast. He battles demons along with other people with powers, and I battle math homework, my sister, and zits. He can open portals to other universes, and the closest thing I can do to that is open a door. So his life is very different compared to mine.

So Kernal is basicly a lot like me in personality, but super different when it comes to his daily life. I think it would be cool to live his life (for about a week) just to see what its like to battle demons and save the world, and he'd probably want to live mine to see what it's like to be normal. In my opinion the main character in my book was very interesting.

  1. He sounds interesting. And I'm sure that you would like to battle demons =) You did a nice job describing Kernal though.

  2. Isaac you would want to battle demons, but I want to know how Kernal battles demons that'd be interesting.

  3. Nice work here, Isaac; you point out both similarities and differences. You offer support for both from the book.
